Which Way Up is full of fresh gravity bending mayhem
Cute space creatures have a gravity party in Which Way Up (Turtle Flip)

I'm struggling with how to describe Which Way Up other than to say "IT'S REALLY FUN OMG YOU HAVE TO PLAY THIS WITH FRIENDS!"

OK, I'll try. Which Way Up: Galaxy Games lets four players compete in a series of challenging mini games set in some kind of asteroid realm in space. The games are all a dizzying gravity-based competition as you fight or race or golf against your opponents. The styling is cute and deliciously colourful and it's just a joy to spend time in this place laughing at how bad you are – or feeling triumphant as you pull off a crazily perfect jump to win.

Watch the trailer. The visuals tell the story of what you're in for here.

The way players are constantly shifting between different planes of gravity is a big part of the unique fun in Which Way Up. It can be a little daunting at first and I was worried I would get frustrated, but it is all so hectic that you just laugh when you mess up and cheer when you start getting things right.

Competitive couch co-op is a lot of fun and this feels fresh. I'm expecting it to stay in high rotation on our couch on weekends alongside a lot of the household Switch regulars of Just Dance, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros.

We've been excited to get this at home since we first met the Turtle Flip team at PAX Australia 2024 and picked them as one of our favourite new indie games to be featured in our video preview series.

Now released, the game has incredible polish and holds true to being inspired by Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Party.
