Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro with DockKit is next level hands free video utility

I missed this during CES reveals, but now I've seen it I want it. The Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro with DockKit (really? please with the names?) looks like a silky smooth tracking stand that uses Apple MagSafe to give you a simple magnetic dock that can instantly active its tracking for your video recording and live calls.

'DockKit' is an Apple standard that means the dock can offer its tracking utility to all your iOS video apps. And to make it extra versatile it also features a battery for up to 5 hours operation away from the desk (or dropped on an office table if you need to take a call in the next room). Plus the base includes a tripod thread so you can turn every tripod into a mobile live video tracking system.

The fact there is no third-party messing about needed makes this a huge step forward. So many 'auto' mounts before this require using a specific app which often lacks features people really want from their favourite video apps. DockKit means you get the good app and the fancy tracking all at once.

At $299 this is an absolute winner. Now I'm annoyed I bought a new MagSafe desk charger a few weeks ago that just sits there like a sad chump.
